Life for me as a
child was full of travel, we lived in Oklahoma, Arizona, even did some time in
Arkansas and Colorado. My education includes: High
School, Dickinson Business College, Vo-Tech Computer Studies, Real-E-State, at home online
studies, and at last Permanent Cosmetic Tattooing. I cleaned, painted, hung wall
pager and cared for yards for extra cash. I learned scores of home craft
projects. I would organize garage sales 2 times a year. This is how I learned
first hand that "if you build it, they will come" and this gave me the courage
to invest into this business. Years ago I looked into getting permanent
make-up and was told I would need to have about $900 to get the works. I love
Art and have many art collections such as: calendars, cards, tattoo books and
more. When my husband wanted a change in life then I began to look for a new way
to support myself. My daughter also needed a change in her life and being a
artist helped to made our decision easier. Many weeks of searching the internet and
our so called "Government
Grants", I found there was only one industry that carried a 75% success rate to
last more then 2 years. With no grant money and a lot of cash my daughter and I
set out on an adventure that would take us to San Antonio Texas and then to
Branson Missouri where the challenge to open our own shop would become my
greatest one. So it began, I learned to order supplies, equipment, laws and bi-laws governing the legal operations for a Tattooing Studio.
We both learned, how to deal with the day to day requirements, the competition
and the public. It has truly turned into a life
commitment, the kind that never closes and the days of rest are few and far
between. Many sacrifices have been made along the way as we are constantly
evolving and changing our work day.
We are rare, as not many tattoo shop are ran by a mother and daughter, yet
here we are working for our beekeepers and always inviting new bee's to buzz to the hive and join our collective!
